VD rigid swirl diffuser

The swirl diffuser of the VD series consists of a cylindrical swirl element with a room-sided closed surface and a round outlet diffuser. The connection to the ventilation system can be done directly or via connection box. The model’s VD-2D swirl diffuser is especially well suited for the usage in rooms with high humidity. By using a special plenum box with an integrated opposing swirl-element of the VD series, additional ventilation of the intermediate ceiling area can be achieved.

Function and effect

The internal cylindrical swirl element in connection with the outflow diffuser creates an exceptionally stable and flat horizontal swirl flow. This flow occurs independently of the way it is mounted (flush to ceiling or freely suspended). As a result of the induction effect, air velocity and temperature differences between supply air and room air are reduced rapidly.
